Walk It

This morning I walked two miles on the treadmill in 28 minutes 57 seconds, my best time to date.

I am not hungry. Hot flashes, night sweats, and insomnia have returned after a two-month hiatus. I feel exhausted.

Later in the day I drove to the post office in a nearby town. Then I walked some more, outside in the sunny 60-degree weather.

When all else fails, by golly, I can walk.

  1. Wow- I'm impressed by your determination and self discipline. I'm sorely lacking at times.Sounds like you are enjoying the weather.

  2. If I was in Maine, I'd walk with you. I love walking, covering a 2 mile route several times a week, and walking anywhere and everywhere I can. To me it's spiritual, bringing me in touch with the outside world, with my own thoughts, with whoever might be walking with me. I can't tell you how many dilemmas have been worked out on a walk. Oh the places my feet have taken me.

  3. The therapeutic benefits of walking....the only thing better that I can think of is walking with a good friend and talking, really talking as you do those 10,000 steps.

    Thinking of you.

  4. Your walking is like my bike riding. A great way to clear the head and stay healthy at the same time. Keep on trunkin', as we used to say back in the 70s :-)
