Last Day In May

The weather on this Memorial Day Monday was perfect - dry, breezy, warm, and sunny. It was ideal for drying clothes on the line ~

cleaning all the vehicles, inside and out ~

putting screens in the windows ~

and taking a nap under the steps ~

This is the year that Ken and I figure out how to do holidays with just the two of us. So far, so good.

My weekend was very much like yours ... clothes on the line, cars cleaned, kitty lounging in the window watching (she's an indoor cat), plus a little clothes shopping thrown in the mix. All in all, a very easy weekend. Happy June :)

Welcome to the unofficial start of summer, warm weather, outdoor activities, quiet holidays. Temps for the desert SW are predicted to hit 100 later this week--ee gads!

We had a barbecue w/friends Sunday so Monday was just the two of us. For so many years I loved cooking big family dinners every holiday. Now that my kids are out of town, I don't have the heart to continue these traditions. Having a close group of friends helps, particularly when some of them are in the same situation.

Hmmm...my definition of a holiday follows a little more closely along with Kitty's, reclining somewhere and enjoying a siesta.

Our weather here in my part of the world has been cool & wet. Very wet. yuck.
